“American Ballet Academy is an absolutely wonderful dance academy! The owners and teachers are warm and welcoming and treat everyone with kindness and respect. I’ve been taking adult ballet classes at ABA for almost 5 years and am so happy with this academy. The lessons are taught in a very professional manner where we learn history along with beautiful ballet technique, all while having a lot of fun! I’ve met lots of new friends of all ages and abilities. Every adult is made to feel welcome and supported. Movement is excellent for the body and mind, and American Ballet Academy is definitely the place to join if you’re looking for a great place to dance!” - Darlene, W. Warwick

“My daughter was there for the summer intensive this summer (ABASI) and absolutely loved it! The staff was professional, friendly and very organized. She learned so much in such a short amount of time and can’t wait to go back in the fall.” - Anel, Johnston

“We love ABA because it is the perfect blend of professionalism and fun. A few of my favorite aspects: The kind, warm attitude and drama-free mentality; They promote healthy, holistic body image and are trained to keep my kid’s bodies safe; Costumes are created and owned by the studio, which means lower cost for me and more closet space for my kiddos; The ability to choose which performances and competitions we participate in; THE LOCATION!” - Lauren, Foster

“As an adult student, I have felt welcome from the time I contacted the school. ABA encourages all students to perform and progress; very professional and very supportive. Classes are clearly planned ahead and structured, unlike most places offering adult ballet.” - Heather, W. Warwick

“My daughter has been taking lessons at American Ballet Academy for the last year and we couldn’t be happier. Every week she looks forward to going to class. This is a welcoming studio with a wonderful community. So glad we found ABA!” - Emily, Cranston

Positive: Communication, Professionalism, Quality, Value

“American Ballet Academy is by far one of the most professional but family oriented ballet studios in RI. My daughter who is extremely shy and a perfectionist began attending in September (2019). Since that time she’s grown and loves to go every (week). The owners go above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome. The entire staff is well versed in many techniques - it's a warm and welcoming environment - all children are welcome and safe. There’s a large dressing room for the girls to change - beautiful shirts and sweatshirts to purchase and a real sense of home. The staff communicates the schedule clearly and often, my daughter has come out of her shell and fallen in love with it. This is an incredible studio where the girls come into their own and are trained by professionals who show love and support. Their prices are fair and we couldn't be happier.” - Emily, Warwick

Positive: Communication, Professionalism, Quality

“ABA is our home away from home. <3 My 4.5 year old triplets first started with ABA last summer, during Super Princess Camp. We actually won a certificate at a silent auction, and I had no idea what to expect. The kids loved it so much that we signed up for Pre-Ballet for the year. This summer, they completed another year of Super Princess Camp - and they loved it even more than last year. Now, this week marks the start of the second year of Pre-Ballet. They are so excited. Ms. Carolyn and Ms. Meg are so patient and kind. They treat everyone like family. I could not be more pleased and can't wait to see how my kiddos continue to grow with ABA.” - Kim, Cranston

“Love this place. A hidden gem that we were lucky to find. The owner and teachers are great to work with. My girl loves everything about this place. Thank you for making her transition smooth” - Vyju, Attleboro, MA

“American Ballet Academy is a wonderful school. Being a former dancer I searched for a school that could provide excellent training and a positive nurturing environment for my daughter. Miss Carolyn’s training and knowledge are of the highest quality. She’s kind and encouraging while Teaching. Her Students have clean beautiful technique. The staff is very professional, the studios are beautiful, and students are kind and support each other. There are many performance opportunities throughout the year for students to participate in as well. We live almost an hour away but we make the drive to this school. My daughter is thriving and it feels like home.” - Jennifer, Shrewsbury, MA

“My two daughters ages 11 and 14 joined ABA this past fall, they had come from a neighboring dance studio and had both been there since age 3. We didn’t know what to expect switching studios at those ages but we were welcomed with open arms and have been so very happy ever since. It is a grass roots organization and Meg and Carolyn are both wonderful at their craft! They seem to achieve the balance of fun and camaraderie, and dance, skill, and technique. They also understand life outside of dance which is wonderful for families with other interests and commitments. It is clear ABA is a labor of love, much time, energy, and effort is put into their classes and their dancers, as well as their Nutcracker performance!” - Shelley, Cranston

“I recently started my daughters at ABA. First for Princess camp, and now for creative movement and pre-ballet! We instantly felt welcome , and part of the ABA family! Also, Meg answers all questions and concerns so quickly, and in such a friendly, professional manner! My daughters look forward to their classes each week!” - Kristen, Cranston

“Whether you're looking to start your little in ballet, or if you have an experienced dancer who is looking to improve his or her technique, this is an excellent program with amazing, knowledgable, and caring teachers. Get in touch with Ms. Meg or Ms. Carolyn to set up a placement class!” - Meaghan, Cranston
